Trainer/Assessor Selection, Recruitment and Management
About this workshop
The functions to select, engage, induct and verify suitability of trainers and assessors to provide training from nationally recognised units of competency is a critical aspect for the RTO operations.
This workshop addresses the requirements to manage the professional development of educators in a registered training organisation to provide the necessary training and assessment against nationally recognised units of competency.
The workshop focus in the necessity to ensure that trainers and assessors meet the specific requirements defined in the Australian Quality Training Framework, the Standards for NVR RTOs, and the National Skills Standards Council determinations on the qualifications of trainers and assessment and monitor professional development to maximise quality outcomes for learners.
Aims
By participating in this workshop, participants will:

Determine human resources requirements for an RTO in accordance with AQTF, Standards for NVR RTOs, and NSSC determinations; |

Engage RTO trainers and assessors by developing policies and procedures to verify trainers and assessors qualifications skills, experience and knowledge; |

Develop induction processes for trainers and assessors in accordance with AQTF and Standards for NVR RTOs requirements; |

Manage RTO trainer and assessor's performance; |

Document and implement processes for offering of professional development opportunities to RTO trainers and assessors; |

Evaluate and verify professional development. |

RTO managers, RTO Consultants, Directors of studies, Program coordinators, Academic managers, Compliance managers, Head trainers, trainers, assessors and any relevant VET professionals.
