Facilitation Skills for Trainers and Assessors
Using evidence-based research results to facilitate meaningful learning
As a trainer and assessor you have the responsibility to lead a class of adult learners. In other words, you're a facilitator of learning experiences.
This professional development program is aimed for both experienced and novel trainers, to help create supportive and effective learning. The Vocational Education and Training sector is a dynamic environment that present multiple challenges to trainers and assessors with continuous changes in content requirements, contexts for the application of newly acquired skills and knowledge, teaching technology advances, and changes in learners' needs.
This workshop will provide you with evidence-based facilitation methods that work. During the program participants are exposed to facilitation methods and techniques, including the application of research results in cognitive load during learning, use of visual aids, accelerate learning techniques, using games during training, and structure of training sessions.
You will walk away with a set of activities, examples, ideas, and structure to facilitate effective learning.
