RTOs deliver and assess training against a common benchmark: National Training Packages and Accredited Courses. The process to interpret (unpack) the units of competency included in the training program underpins the integrity of the training provided and, therefore, the RTO's compliance with the standards.

Mapping the delivery and assessment methods and activities against the specific benchmark is a systematic process that helps to maintain agreement between those methods and activities and the competency standards included in a particular training program.

The outcome of the mapping exercise can be used as a "road map" for trainers and assessors to demonstrate the industry relevance of the training delivery and the validity of assessment activities.

This workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to unpack a unit of competency and map training delivery and assessment against competency standards.
